Antenna

for HF (7,14,21,28) Mhz, I use two Japanese Nagara antennas. Specifically a

  • TA351
  • TA341

Why these ??

They were available from a dealer here in Manila, and so far they have proved to be well made and realiable.

The only disadvantage with them - there are no English Instructions. I did spend a few days with good-translate, but having owed HyGain & Cushcraft in the past, and built them from scratch - I did not feel too worried.

The 351 is a 341 with a 40m trapped Dipole added.

Just make sure you know which color boom goes where.

TA 351 Data

These reading are taking with the antenna only 8m from the ground (tower low height)

Although this antenna is not listed as being useable for 6m, the SWR is easily handler by an internal ATU.

Although 6m is not a suggested use - the internal ATU of most radios will handle this fine.

How this was done

I used a microvna - with some software linked to my Mac. I broke each sweep into 50 points - say 14.0-14.450 - and then just grabbed the graphs.

To Do

Resample again - at full height.
