com_contest_logging

For the Mac, there are 3 main offerings. 1 Commerial, 2 free.

Paid

In fact for all commercial $$$ ham software dogparksoftware has a good range of products. You can usually try them for free for a few days... before having to purchase them.

I have not used this software, as I prefer Open-Source if I have a choice.... and in this catagory I do.

Free

SkookumLogger

This is my Contesting logger. It is not the same as any other logger I have seen, and it took me probably 6 months of loving/hating/loving it.

As the Author, very generously has source-code available; You can write your own stuff, I have so far written a few contests, and my own KAT500 Control interface.

Do NOT install this 5 mins before CQWW-WPX, and expect to be able to use it. Start 6 months before hand.

I currently use this for CW & Voice Contests... for RTTY Contests I currently use N1NM plus on Windows !!

RUMLogNG

An excellent day-to-day logger. Nice interface, good support for WSJT-X built in. LOTW, plus Clublog, Dx-Cluster, Spotting etc.

This an excellent general purpose logger/contest-logger.

Whilst you should not install this 5 mins before CQWW-WPX, you probably could - and I think you would be up and running at 90% speed very quickly.

The source-code for this project is not publically available; Which may (or may not) be an issue for you.

FLLog

The choice here is again plentiful, the one package that seems to be able to run on all systems is FLLog

This is a quite of programs

  • FL-Log
  • FL-Rig
  • FL-Amp
  • And many more. Which will work on Windows, Linux and Mac.
