Rig control

There are many commercial rig control packages on the market. Some are free - many especially for the Windows OS are not.

Recently I became aware of specific Radio control packages for my Elecraft K3-S, it is called Win4K4Suite for the Elecraft and I believe it costs aprox $60.

My personal favorite control package is HamLib. It is not a GUI package... it is a terminal command package - but it provides the bases from which a software developer can add their own interface.

Should you get a radio which is not supported, then it is quite easy to add a new set of controls. I did this a few years ago to a R&S receiver that my friend had recently acquired.
